Flights of Fancy Stratford Circus Tom Thumb Flyer proofing

Fancy Chance invites you aboard her debut solo show: a globe-trotting, time-travelling mini-spectacle, jetting from her humble origins as Korean refugee to darling of the London cabaret scene. In-flight entertainment includes gut-busting comedy, heartbreaking song and mind-bending film.

‘There are few true originals: Fancy Chance is one of them.

Penny Woolcock

Flights of Fancy has been created by Veronica Thompson in collaboration with director Nathan Evans and supported using public funding by Arts Council England. Following a successful run at Soho Theatre in 2017 and stop-offs at Rich Mix, Latitude Festival and Marlborough Brighton, we’re gearing-up for a World Tour in 2018.

‘Fancy Chance is a giant in the world of performance.

Andrew Logan

Fusing cabaret, live art and video, the show is by turns funny, moving and thoughtprovoking; touching on themes of identity, immigration and international relations, it relates a very personal story relating very directly to our times. But don’t take our word for it, check out The Guardian profile, The Erotic Review and the Soho Theatre show…

‘I could write a book on the merits of Fancy Chance but, condensed into a sentence, she is quite simply The Best In The Business.

 David Hoyle

Fancy’s work incorporates burlesque, drag and circus. In 2009 she was crowned Alternative Miss World and in 2010 London’s Top Tranny. She was also shortlisted for Best Alternative Performer in London Cabaret Awards 2013, has recently been collaborating on Carnesky’s Incredible Bleeding Woman.

‘Fancy Chance is an exceptional performing artist who combines rare circus skills with high art aesthetics and old world cabaret charm.
