Anoushka Lucas is a singer, songwriter, composer, actor and theatre maker.
Raised in London to a French-Cameroonian mother and an Anglo-Indian father, Anoushka was raised bilingual in French and English and has a degree in Russian and Italian from Oxford University.
Influenced by the creations of Carole King, Zadie Smith, Amy Winehouse and Fiona Apple, Anoushka Lucas has been writing song since the age of 14 and has been described as “an exceptional voice and a great songwriter” (Jamie Cullum, BBC Introducing 2017).
Her debut album, Dark Soul, was produced by Martin Terefe (Jamie Cullum, KT Tunstall, Martha Wainwright) at Kensaltown Studios and is a fusion of jazz, soul and Anoushka’s unique autobiographical brand of songwriting.
To date Anoushka has sold out headline shows at the Bush Hall London, Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Servant Jazz Quarters to name but a few.
