BBC Slam Champion, Jess Green joined the Labour Party at university in 2007, since then she’s stuck by them through the downfall of Tony Blair, the disappointment of Gordon Brown and the monolith of Ed Miliband. And now after a decade of keeping her membership card firmly at the back of her wallet she’s fallen head over heels in love with Jeremy Corbyn and his raw socialist magnetism but if only everyone else agreed.

Following the success of her first show, Burning Books, Jess returns with a rousing, lyrical and humorous look at modern politics.

The show has had a successful run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year, with even the Jeremy Corbyn himself describing it as ‘Fantastic’, and can be performed either solo or with Jess’ band ‘The Mischief Thieves’ consisting of guitar, trumpet, drums and melodica.

Here are a couple of quotes about Jess’ work;

‘An internet Sensation’ – The Independent

‘Green has struck a chord’ – The Guardian

“A writer who is tackling such an important subject, with assurance, intelligence and brio. The writing is intelligent, ambitious, poetic and feels incredibly political, without being didactic.” – Nikolai Foster, Artistic Director, Curve Theatre

‘The poetry is whip-smart, insightful and riotously entertaining…a genuine piece of political theatre’ – Neil Reading, Producer at Arena Theatre
